10.6 kW continuous, 330 Nm peak — torque lives on the supply voltage
The SH32053P01F2100: This SH3-series servo motor delivers 10.6 kW continuous power from a 400 V three-phase supply, but the torque curve shifts hard with the line voltage you actually have on site. At 115 V single phase you get 84.9 Nm nominal; at 480 V three phase that drops to 40.2 Nm — the motor is wound for the higher-voltage torque density, so if your cabinet feeds 480 V, you're running the derated end of the curve. Peak stall torque hits 330 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, which matters for acceleration events like a press index or a rapid traverse. The holding brake locks 80 Nm — enough to keep a vertical axis from drifting when the drive is off.
Absolute SinCos Hiperface encoder — no homing on power-up
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder means this motor knows its shaft position the instant the drive powers up. No reference run, no limit-switch homing sequence — the controller reads the position from the encoder's internal track. That saves a few seconds per cycle on a packaging line and avoids the crash risk of a lost-home condition on a multi-axis station. The encoder is a single-turn type: it tracks position within one revolution (360° electrical). For multi-turn applications (e.g. a ball screw that travels several turns end to end), you'd need a multi-turn encoder variant — this one resets its turn count at power-off unless the drive's battery-backed multiturn option is wired in.
IP65 motor, natural convection — no fan to fail on a washdown line
IP65 per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing means this motor handles direct washdown — food processing, beverage fill lines, outdoor conveyor exposure. The natural-convection cooling (no external fan) means one less rotating part to clog or seize in a wet environment, but it also means the continuous torque rating assumes free air around the housing; stuffing it into a tight enclosure derates the usable power. Smooth shaft, straight connector, and a rotatable right-angled electrical connection — the connector orientation can be adjusted in the field to clear the cable tray or the machine frame. The 1.5 in (38 mm) shaft diameter with a 3.1 in (80 mm) smooth length mates to standard coupling bores without a keyway.
The 205 mm international standard flange (IEC 72-1) and the 180 mm centring collar mean the motor bolts directly onto standard gearbox and machine interfaces without an adapter plate. Mounting holes are 14 mm diameter on the flange — M12 bolts fit.
