Motor ratings across supply voltages
The SH32053P02F1000: This SH3 series servo motor delivers 10.6 kW continuous power at 400 V three-phase, with a nominal speed of 2000 rpm. On 480 V three-phase supply it produces 10.1 kW at 2400 rpm; on single-phase 230 V it runs 1000 rpm at 7.79 kW, and on 115 V single-phase it delivers 500 rpm at 4.45 kW. The torque output shifts with supply voltage: 84.9 N·m nominal on 115 V single-phase, 74.4 N·m on 230 V single-phase, 50.7 N·m on 400 V three-phase, and 40.2 N·m on 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque reaches 330 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, which matters for short-duration acceleration or emergency stops.
Shaft, brake, and encoder for vertical-axis duty
The 1.5 in (38 mm) smooth shaft runs 3.1 in (80 mm) long, with a maximum radial force of 4500 N at 1000 rpm, 3570 N at 2000 rpm, and 3120 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 740 N — respect these limits when coupling to a ballscrew or timing belt. The holding brake delivers 80 N·m holding torque, enough to hold a vertical load at rest without servo current. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder retains position through power cycles — no homing routine needed on restart, which saves time on multi-axis gantries.
Mounting and environmental protection
The motor uses an international standard flange with 8.07 in (205 mm) flange size and 7.09 in (180 mm) centring collar. Mounting holes are 0.6 in (14 mm) diameter on a standard bolt circle — confirm the mating face dimensions before cutting the bracket. IP65 protection (conforming to IEC 60034-5) on the motor body and shaft bushing means it withstands washdown and dust ingress. The shaft bushing without seal ring is IP54 — if the application sees direct spray on the shaft exit, specify the seal ring option.
Electrical and thermal parameters for drive setup
Stator resistance is 0.2 Ω and inductance is 2.05 mH — these set the current-loop tuning gains in the servo drive. The torque constant is 2.84 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 172 V/krpm at 20 °C. Use these values when auto-tuning the drive's velocity and position loops.
