Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
The SH32053P11A1100: This SH3-series servo motor delivers a nominal speed that depends on the supply: 500 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm on 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque follows the same voltage dependency: 751.4 lbf·in (84.9 N·m) at 115 V single-phase, stepping down to 355.8 lbf·in (40.2 N·m) at 480 V three-phase — the torque drops as speed increases, which is the constant-power region of the motor's operating envelope. Peak stall torque is rated at 2920.7 lbf·in (330 N·m) across the 115-480 V three-phase range, giving a short-term overload margin for acceleration or load transients.
Feedback and environmental sealing
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this provides position feedback at power-up without a homing cycle, which matters for CNC tool changers or pick-and-place axes that need to know absolute position immediately. IP65 protection per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing means the unit withstands washdown and airborne particulates in food processing or machining coolant environments. Cooling is natural convection — no external fan or forced air required, which simplifies ducting in enclosed machine compartments but limits duty cycle in sustained high-torque applications.
