The Schneider Electric Harmony SSP3A250BDT is a 3-phase solid state relay rated for 0.4 to 50 A load current and 42 to 660 VAC output, with zero-voltage switching to minimize inrush on turn-on. Response time is fixed at 8.33 ms on both turn-on and turn-off, so it switches at the zero-cross of the AC waveform — no half-cycle inrush to blow your heater or contactor coil. Surge current rating of 715 A for 20 ms handles motor starting and transformer inrush without losing the SCR.
Mounting and thermal
Panel mount only — no DIN rail clip. A thermal pad is included, so you don't need to source separate interface material. Thermal resistance is 0.15 °C/W, so plan your heatsink accordingly for 50 A continuous. Torque the input terminals to 1.2 N·m and output terminals to 2.5 N·m. Input accepts up to 2.5 mm², output up to 10 mm².
It carries a CE mark and complies with IEC/EN 62314, IEC/EN 60947-4-2, IEC/EN 60947-4-3, UL 60947-4-2, and CSA C22.2 No. 14. Pollution degree 2, overvoltage category III, IP20 finger-safe enclosure, and V0 flame retardance per UL 94. Dielectric strength is 4 kV AC between input and output, and 4 kV AC from either to case. Off-state leakage is under 3 mA.
