I/O and integration – what fits on this slice
The TM173ODM22R pulls 22 I/O onto a single M173 slice: 6 digital inputs rated 24 V AC/DC (2.5 mA), 5 relay outputs (3 A SPST – three share a common, two are independent), 7 analog inputs configurable for NTC, Pt1000, 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, and 4 analog outputs (one voltage/current selectable, three voltage or PWM). That mix maps directly to a pumping or HVAC control panel – sensor feedback, actuator drives, and a handful of discrete alarms. Built-in real-time clock holds drift to ≤30 s/month over the -20…65 °C operating range, enough for time-stamped trend logging without an external time source. Communication ports (1 CAN socket, 2 RS485 Modbus, 1 USB-C for program download) cover the usual fieldbus topology. The 1 MB flash / 380 kB RAM handles moderate logic and data logging.
Physical footprint and mounting
Width 2.8 in (72 mm), height 4.3 in (110 mm), depth 2.4 in (60 mm). Mounts on DIN rail via an accessory or directly to a panel. IP20 enclosure – keep it inside the cabinet away from dripping water. No forced-air cooling required at the 10 W dissipation.
