The VW3A7250 is a Schneider Electric active infeed converter (AIC) rated 120 kW, designed to supply a regulated DC bus from a 380-480 V three-phase AC line while actively managing harmonics and enabling energy regeneration back to the mains. The unit is a built-in assembly (IP00) measuring 680 mm high by 310 mm wide by 377 mm deep, so it needs a clean enclosure with at least 500 cm² of air flow surface and forced convection cooling moving 400 m³/h through the power circuit.
Communication and control integration
The AIC includes a communication bridge with one RJ45 for Modbus and a male SUB-D 9 on RJ45 for CANopen, so it drops into a mixed-fieldbus line-up without a separate gateway card.
Lifecycle reality — obsolete, sourced to order
Available through independent distribution channels; quantities and pricing are confirmed at RFQ against the specific BOM line. For a project already designed around this AIC, the unit can be sourced as a last-time-buy or surplus procurement — confirm the install window and spares requirement at quote time.
Environmental and mechanical limits
Operates from -10 °C to 45 °C without derating; above 45 °C up to 60 °C, derate current 2 % per °C. Rated for 7 gn shock at 11 ms and vibration resistance of 1.5 mm at 3-10 Hz / 0.6 gn at 10-200 Hz per EN/IEC 60068-2-6, which covers normal industrial floor and conveyor line conditions. Altitude derating starts at 1000 m — above that, reduce current 1 % per 100 m. Relative humidity tolerance is 0-95 % non-condensing.
