The VW3A7272: Rated supply voltage is 500…690 V AC ±10 %, three-phase, 50/60 Hz. Input power capability: 160 kW at 500 V, 166 kW at 600 V, 218 kW at 690 V. The overload envelope allows 1.20× nominal current for 60 s and 1.35× nominal current for 2 s — sufficient for motor starting or regenerative transients within the duty cycle.
Application and integration constraints
Dimensions: 1190 mm height × 330 mm width × 377 mm depth. The cabinet must provide at least 700 cm² of air-flow surface. Operating altitude derating applies above 1000 m (1 % per 100 m); ambient temperature derating of 2 % per °C above 45 °C. Compliance: EN/IEC 61800-5-1 (adjustable speed electrical power drive systems), pollution degree 2. Vibration resistance per EN/IEC 60068-2-6: 1.5 mm at 3…10 Hz, 0.6 gn at 10…200 Hz. Communication and control interface
The unit includes a communication bridge option card with one RJ45 for Modbus and one male SUB-D 9 on RJ45 for CANopen. Thermal losses are 3220 W — this must be factored into the cabinet cooling budget.
