The VW3A7277 is a 675 kW active infeed converter (AIC) designed for 500–690 V three-phase networks. It serves as the line-side interface for regenerative drive systems, feeding energy back to the grid during deceleration and actively shaping the input current to keep harmonics low — a direct fit for applications where line distortion or braking resistor heat is a problem.

Continuous current and overload headroom

Rated 604 A continuous output at 500 V, 600 V, and 690 V supply — the current rating is flat across the voltage range, so the power scales with line voltage. Overload capability is 1.20× nominal for 60 s and 1.35× nominal for 2 s, which covers motor acceleration and load transients without oversizing the converter.
