Thermal Protection & Integration
Thermal protection is handled via an external thermal overload relay — the resistor itself does not have an integrated thermostat. This means the overload relay must be wired in series with the resistor circuit and set according to the resistor's thermal characteristics. Mount the resistor with adequate clearance for airflow; IP23 allows some ventilation but also means the enclosure is not sealed. Ambient storage range is -25 to 75 °C.
