The Telemecanique Sensors XS218SAMAU20 is a M18 threaded inductive proximity sensor from the XS2 series. Unshielded face, normally-open output, 2-wire AC/DC circuit handling 24-240 VAC or 24-240 VDC. That wide voltage range means it works on 24V PLC inputs or 120V relay logic without a different part number — one SKU for both.
Rated 12 mm sensing distance (unshielded), so you get longer range than a shielded variant but need about a 3× sensor-diameter gap to surrounding metal. Load current max 300 mA — enough for a small contactor or PLC input, but not for a direct motor coil.
