Ratings and what they mean for panel fit
The 3VA1132-3EF32-0HH0: Rated continuous current Iu is 32 A, and the breaker holds that rating from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. Above 55 °C it steps down: 30.72 A at 55 °C, 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, 28.8 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs hot — say a sealed enclosure near a furnace line — you lose roughly 1 A per 5 °C above 50 °C. The rated insulation voltage Ui of 800 V covers 480 V and 600 V class systems with margin. The shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release (design per 3VA9688-0BL30) lets a remote signal or emergency-stop circuit open the breaker independently of the overcurrent mechanism. Two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ version) give status feedback for PLC or SCADA monitoring.
Physical integration
The breaker measures 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, and 130 mm tall. It mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-fixed to a backplate. The IP40 front protection means it is suited for enclosed panel mounting — not for washdown or outdoor exposure without an additional enclosure. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Mechanical endurance is rated at 15,000 operations, which covers frequent switching in machine-tool or process applications.
