Current and voltage envelope
The 3RF2310-1AA04: The control input draws 15 mA at DC rated value from the upstream logic, and the unit holds a minimum operational current of 100 mA on the load side — anything below that the thyristor's 10 mA reverse leakage keeps the output from latching clean, so heater loads must be sized above the floor.
Zero-point switching and timing
Zero-point switching closes the output near the voltage zero-cross to limit the inrush into resistive loads, with a 1 ms ON-delay and 1 ms OFF-delay plus a tolerance of at most one additional half-wave, so the contactor is matched to heater banks and similar ohmic loads rather than to transformer inrush.
Thermal limits in the cabinet
Operating temperature runs from -25 °C to +60 °C with a derating point at 40 °C, and the device dissipates 11 W in the hot AC operating state — side-by-side mounting is permitted, but the heat-sinking profile in a fully populated cabinet must respect the derating curve rather than the headline 10.5 A figure.
Short-circuit coordination
The I²t withstand is 200 A²·s, and the listed back-up fuses are the NEOZED 5SE2306 on the load side or an NH design 3NA6801 — these fuses carry a smaller rated current than the semiconductor itself so they clear downstream faults before the thyristor junction is exceeded, and the line-side pollution degree is 3.
Mechanical footprint and wiring
Storage limits of -55 °C to +80 °C bracket the operating envelope, and the substance prohibition date of 28 May 2009 ties the part to the post-RoHS material set specified by Siemens.
