Panel fit and key ratings
The Siemens 3VA1132-3EF36-0BH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the SENTRON line, rated for a continuous current Iu of 32 A. Its interrupting capacity reaches 75.6 kA at 240 V AC and 52.5 kA at 415 V AC — figures that govern selectivity in a distribution board and determine whether it can clear a fault without upstream devices tripping. The overcurrent release is a TM240 thermal-magnetic type; the part includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and comes with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ version) as auxiliary contacts. A mechanical trip indicator is present on the front. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V; a derating curve applies above 50 °C — the 32 A rating holds up to 50 °C, then drops to 28.8 A at 70 °C. The front face carries an IP40 protection class, so it is suited for installation inside a dead-front switchboard or enclosure, not in a washdown environment.
Integration note
The breaker occupies a 76.2 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep footprint, which fits standard DIN-rail or panel-mount spacing in a switchboard. The undervoltage release (UVR) requires a control voltage to keep the breaker closed — if the control supply drops, the breaker opens, which is a deliberate safety feature for undervoltage protection on motor feeders.
