MCCB for line protection — 200 A, 3-pole, high interrupting capacity
Its interrupting capacity reaches 220 kA at 240 V and 154 kA at 415 V, which means it can safely clear high-fault currents in a main feeder or distribution panel without cascading upstream — the sort of SCCR headroom a site electrical engineer needs for a 200 A bus.
Thermal derating and ambient temperature range
Above that, derating is linear: 194 A at 55 °C, 188 A at 60 °C, 182 A at 65 °C, and 176 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs at 60 °C in a sealed enclosure, the effective continuous current drops to 188 A — that is the figure to use for the BOM line, not the 200 A nameplate.
Front protection is IP40. The 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for a 200 A frame in the SENTRON 3VA platform — it occupies one 105 mm-wide slot in a distribution panel. No auxiliary contact or communication module adds depth beyond the 70 mm listed.
