MCCB for high-fault line protection
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2140-6HK32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection, carrying a 40 A continuous current rating across the full 40 °C to 70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its 600 A frame size and ETU340 electronic overcurrent release give it the headroom to handle high-fault scenarios: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V.
That simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures or near heat sources. The ETU340 release provides adjustable long-time, short-time, and instantaneous protection, plus ground-fault capability (though this variant ships without ground-fault monitoring).
No undervoltage release or communication function on this variant, so wiring is straightforward: line and load connections only.
