What this MCCB carries — and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-6JP32-0LK0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 250 A continuous at 40 °C, with an ETU550 electronic trip unit configured for line protection. Its interrupting ratings hit 242 kA at 240 V and 187 kA at 415 V, which puts it in the high-fault-current tier — sized for main feeders or large sub-distribution where the available fault current is serious. The 105 mm width and 181 mm height match the standard SENTRON 3VA frame footprint, so it swaps into an existing 3VA panel cutout without re-drilling the gland plate.
Thermal derating and panel integration
Full 250 A rating holds through 50 °C ambient. Above that it derates linearly: 238 A at 55 °C, 225 A at 60 °C, down to 200 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — say a non-ventilated enclosure next to a furnace line — size the load accordingly. The 86 mm depth leaves room for rear-access wiring in a standard 600 mm deep enclosure. Auxiliary contact configuration ships as 1 auxiliary switch + 1 trip alarm + 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ type), which covers status feedback to a PLC without adding a separate contact block.
