Above that, it derates linearly: 238 A at 55 °C, 225 A at 60 °C, 213 A at 65 °C, and 200 A at 70 °C. For a panel running warm — say 55 °C ambient inside the enclosure — the usable continuous current drops to 238 A, not the nameplate 250 A. The thermal-magnetic trip unit has a minimum setting of 375 A and maximum of 2 500 A, covering a wide range of overload and short-circuit protection profiles.
