What the ratings mean for fit
The Siemens SENTRON 3VM1110-4EE32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) carrying 100 A continuous at 40 °C ambient — that's the number you size the feeder for, not the 1 000 A maximum frame rating. The TM220 thermal-magnetic release means the thermal element handles overloads and the magnetic element handles short-circuits; no undervoltage or shunt trip built in, so if you need those, you're adding accessories externally. Breaking capacity is the headline: 76 kA at 415 V AC. That's enough for most industrial distribution boards downstream of a transformer — it interrupts a fault up to that level without welding contacts or venting arc gas into the panel. At 240 V it's 121 kA, at 440 V it drops to 53 kA, and at 500 V it's 12 kA. The 415 V figure is the one to coordinate with your upstream feeder breaker. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. Front face carries IP40. Depth is 70 mm, width 76.2 mm, height 130 mm.
Panel fit and integration
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or directly to a backplate via the SENTRON mounting base. The 70 mm depth leaves room for wiring behind the breaker. Power loss is 25 W maximum at rated current — negligible for thermal management in a ventilated panel, but worth noting if you're packing multiple breakers in a sealed enclosure. Storage temperature range is -40 °C to 80 °C; operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C.
