What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VM1110-5EE32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous at 40 °C, designed for line protection in distribution panels. Its TM220 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release handles both overload and short-circuit conditions without undervoltage or ground-fault monitoring. The interrupting capacity is 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 76 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V — so it clears high-fault currents on the secondary side of a transformer or near a large service entrance. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. Front IP40 protection keeps dust out of the enclosure face.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The breaker holds 100 A up to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. That means a panel running at 55 °C loses 2 A of headroom; at 70 °C you lose 9 A. Body dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or backplate layouts. Maximum power loss is 25 W, so factor that into enclosure ventilation. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C.
