Panel integration note
The 3VM1150-5ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole IEC frame 160 molded-case circuit breaker rated 50 A with a 55 kA interrupting capacity at 415 V (class M). The TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit has a fixed overload setting (Ir = 50 A) and a short-circuit pickup fixed at 10 × In. The N conductor is unprotected — the breaker does not open the neutral pole, so the neutral bar in the panel stays continuous through the device. Mounts in a standard panel or enclosure on a DIN rail or direct-mount plate. The nut keeper kit (included) retains the busbar fasteners during assembly — saves time when torquing down the line and load connections in a crowded enclosure.
Selectivity and coordination
Class M breaking capacity (55 kA @ 415 V) covers most industrial secondary-distribution scenarios. For a 160 A frame, the 50 A trip unit means this breaker sits downstream of a larger feeder — the fixed Ir at 50 A and Ii at 500 A (10 × 50 A) gives a predictable coordination band. Upstream breakers need to be selected so their instantaneous trip thresholds clear the 500 A let-through of this device at the available fault current.
Sourcing posture
Sourced and quoted to order against an RFQ through independent distribution. Availability and current pricing confirmed at quote time. Because the product class is C (made to order), lead times reflect the manufacturing schedule — not a warehouse pick.
