Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V and 121 kA at 415 V, meaning it can interrupt a serious fault without cascading upstream — useful when the transformer is big or the fault current is high. This is a line-protection version, not a motor-protection variant with adjustable thermal curves. The 320 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 292 A at 70 °C — so in a hot enclosure you lose about 9% of headroom. Front IP40 means it's splash-safe from the front but not sealed; mount it inside a cabinet, not outdoors.
