The Siemens SENTRON 5SN6363-8CN is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a D tripping characteristic, rated 63 A at 400 V AC. Its 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 covers standard residential and light commercial fault levels. The D-curve (10–20× In) is designed for loads with high inrush currents — motor starters, transformers, or discharge lighting — where a B or C curve would nuisance-trip on startup.
Sizing and fit in the panel
Occupies 3 width units (54 mm) on a DIN rail. Depth is 76 mm; installation depth 70 mm. Terminal range accepts 0.75 to 25 mm² solid or stranded — covers feed-through from a 25 mm² main tail down to 0.75 mm² branch circuits. Screw terminals with 2.5–3 N·m torque. Mounting position any, so vertical or horizontal busbar layouts work.
Environmental and compliance
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. IP20 with connected conductors. Ambient temperature range -40 to +75 °C; derated operating range -25 to +45 °C. Vibration resistance 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. Overvoltage category III. Touch protection fitted.
