The Siemens 5SU9336-7CN32 is a combined residual current device and miniature circuit breaker (RCBO) in a single 1P+N module. It provides both overcurrent protection (C characteristic, 32 A rated current) and residual current protection (Type A, 30 mA sensitivity) for a single-phase 230 V AC circuit. The 6 kA breaking capacity (Icn) covers the majority of domestic and light commercial fault levels. Type A detection means it responds to sinusoidal AC fault currents and pulsating DC fault currents up to 6 mA — the standard for circuits with single-phase rectified loads like washing machines, LED drivers, or IT equipment.
Panel integration and DIN-rail fit
Occupies a single 18 mm DIN-rail module width. The 1P+N form factor switches the line conductor only; the neutral bar passes through the residual current transformer and is disconnected on the neutral busbar side when the device trips. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.75–25 mm² conductors. In a distribution board, plan for the neutral tail to reach the neutral busbar — the RCBO's neutral terminal is on the same side as the line terminal, not at the far end of the module.
