What it is and what it does
The 5SY4416-8: At 72 mm wide (4 modular width units) and 76 mm deep, it installs on standard DIN rail in any orientation. Terminal design accepts top and bottom combined conductors, and the housing is IP20 with conductors connected. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction meets clean-room and low-smoke requirements.
Mounting and environment
Mounts in any position via the quick-assembly system — no special tools needed. The 76 mm depth leaves 70 mm behind the panel face, which suits standard gland plates. Vibration rated per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz and 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz. Ambient temperature range -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity derating: 95% RH at 55 °C, 55% at 70 °C, 35% at 75 °C. Sealable via front cover for lockout/tagout if required.
