What it is and where it fits
The 6AG1543-1AX10-7XE0: This is the harsh-environment version of the standard CP 1543-1 — same Industrial Ethernet connectivity, same S7-1500 form factor, but with conformal coating and a -40 to +70 °C operating range. That coating is the difference between a board that survives condensation in a cold plant and one that doesn't. If your line doesn't see extreme temps or humidity, the base 6GK7543-1AX10-0XE0 is cheaper and easier to return. But for a chiller, outdoor panel, or steam-laden atmosphere, this is the one to spec.

Same protocol stack as the standard CP 1543-1. Only difference is the conformal coating and the -40 to +70 °C operating range.
Installation notes
Slides onto the S7-1500 DIN rail, connects via the backplane bus to the controller. The Ethernet port is on the front. Conformal coating seals the board against condensation and airborne oils; standard terminal blocks accept field wiring.
