Where it sits in a control panel
As a Motor Drives class unit, the ACS800-U11-0050-5+E200 is the power stage between the supply feeder and the driven motor — line-side cabling lands on the input bus, motor-side cabling lands on the output bus, and control wiring routes to the I/O terminals for run/enable, reference, and feedback. Mount the drive close to the motor feeder entry to keep the motor cable short; long motor pigtails defeat the EMC stage and lift common-mode noise onto the driven motor's bearings. Grounding should bond the chassis back to the panel's PE bar with a short, full-width braid — pigtail grounds on a drive this size are the most common source of nuisance trips during commissioning.
