What the ratings mean for fit
The S202-K1.6 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from ABB's S200 series, rated at 1.6 A with a K trip curve. The K curve means it tolerates inrush currents typical of motor and transformer loads — it holds through the initial surge that would nuisance-trip a Z curve, then clears fast on a hard short. At 277 VAC line-to-neutral (480Y/277 VAC system), it interrupts faults up to 6 kA. That 6 kA SCCR is the ceiling for safe fault clearing; if your available fault current at the panel exceeds that, you need an upstream current-limiting device or a higher-rated breaker. It snaps onto standard DIN rail, so panel integration is straightforward — no special adapters.
