Rated current and adjustment range
The TA25DU5.0 is a 3-pole thermal overload relay with a continuous current rating of 5 A and an adjustable range from 3.5 A to 5 A, set via the dial on the front face. That 3.5–5 A window covers the motor FLA you'd expect on a small pump, fan, or conveyor drive — typically a 1.5–2.2 kW motor at 400 V three-phase. Trip Class 10 means it will trip within 10 seconds at 600% of the set current, fast enough to protect a standard induction motor during a locked-rotor start without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration.
Compatibility and mounting
This overload relay is part of the Eaton A-Line family and mounts directly to A/AE/AL9 through A/AE/AL40 frame contactors. The mechanical interlock between the contactor and the relay means the power circuit passes through the relay's bimetal elements, so the full motor current is sensed. Selectable manual or automatic reset on the front — set to auto for remote-restart applications like conveyor lines, or manual for equipment that requires a human check before restarting.
