The BYD3M-TDT-P shares the same 3 m range, supply voltage, and through-beam form factor as the BYD3M-TDT, but swaps the output from NPN to PNP. If your existing panel wiring expects a sinking (NPN) input, the BYD3M-TDT-P sources current instead — check the PLC input module type before swapping. The BPS3M-TDT-P is another PNP through-beam at 3 m but uses a different series housing; verify mounting dimensions if retrofitting into an existing bracket.
Through-beam sensors require an emitter and receiver aligned across the detection gap. The 3 m range suits medium-length conveyor paths, machine access gates, or part-present detection in automated assembly. Power at 12–24 VDC; PNP output pulls high to the supply rail — wire to a sourcing input card. Dark ON means the output activates when the beam is blocked; switch to Light ON via the option if your logic requires the opposite state.
