The Delta AH08DA-5B is an 8-channel analog output module that takes voltage signals from your PLC and converts them to real-world control levels. It handles 0/1V–5V, ±5V, 0V–10V, and ±10V ranges, so you can match it to drives, valve positioners, or chart recorders without extra signal conditioners. Each channel converts in 150 µs, which keeps the loop fast enough for most process and motion applications.
The 16-bit hardware resolution gives you 65,536 steps across the full voltage span — at 0–10 V that's about 0.15 mV per step, which is fine for precision setpoints. Base error at ambient temperature is ±0.02% of full scale in voltage mode, ±0.06% in current mode; over the full temperature range it drifts to ±0.04% and ±0.07% respectively. Linearity error stays at ±0.004% regardless of temperature, so the module won't introduce a bend in your control curve. Power draw is split: 0.25 W from the backplane (internal) and 2.2 W from an external supply. That external draw matters if you're sizing a 24 VDC bus — 2.2 W is about 92 mA, so a bank of these modules adds up. The JIS removable terminal block makes wiring swaps easy without pulling the module off the backplane.
