7" TFT panel, 800 x 480, finger-and-glove resistive touch
The Delta DOP-107SV is a 7-inch TFT LCD operator panel running an ARM Cortex-A8 at 800 MHz with 128 Mbytes of RAM and 128 Mbytes of flash ROM — a Cortex-A8 class HMI in the compact 7" tier that handles recipe screens, multi-page navigation and modest logging without stepping up to the 10" line. Display is 800 x 480 pixels with LED backlight rated above 20,000 hours half-life at 25 °C, brightness 400 cd/m² typical, and a 4-wire resistive touchscreen rated above 1,000,000 operations — resistive (not projected capacitive) means it accepts gloved fingers and stylus input, which is the right call for a plant-floor operator panel where projected-capacitive touch rejects wet or gloved hands.
Power, serial ports and backup memory
Supply is DC +24 V (-15% to +15%) from a Class 2 / SELV isolated source, drawing 8.6 W max — the SELV input requirement is the part of the spec that decides which panel PSU it can ride on; a non-isolated 24 V rail does not meet the listing. Serial ports are COM1 RS-232 (with flow control) / RS-485 and COM2 RS-422 / RS-485, with one USB Host and one USB Slave on the V2.0 bus — enough to talk to a Delta DVP/AS PLC on RS-485 plus a USB stick for recipe transfer, which is the usual pairing on this 7" class. A CR2032 3 V lithium cell backs the built-in calendar; service life is rated about 3 years or more at 25 °C, after which date/time stamps on alarm logs start to drift — schedule the cell with the panel, not on a separate service interval.
Panel cut-out, IP65 front face, and the environment envelope
Bezel footprint is 215 mm × 161 mm × 36.5 mm deep with a mounting cut-out of 196.9 mm × 142.9 mm — that cut-out matches the standard 7" Delta DOP cut-out, so it lands in the same cabinet aperture the DOP-107BV family uses without re-machining the panel. Front-face sealing is IP65, indoor use only — the rating applies to the panel face when seated against a flat, clean gasket surface; it is not a hose-down or outdoor rating and the rear electronics must stay inside an enclosure. Operating temperature is 0 °C to 50 °C, storage -20 °C to +60 °C, humidity 10 – 90 % RH up to 40 °C derating to 10 – 55 % RH up to 50 °C, pollution degree 2 — the 50 °C ceiling is the constraint that rules out unventilated cabinet mounting next to a drive or a heater band. Vibration and shock follow IEC 61131-2 / IEC 60068-2-27 (continuous 5 – 150 Hz, 1 G; 11 ms / 15 G shock in X/Y/Z) — that is the PLC-grade envelope, which means the panel tolerates cabinet-door vibration and forklift-bump transients on the production floor.
Compliance and approvals on record
CE is the approval carried on the datasheet, with the specific note that compliance requires a shielded network cable and a ferrite (300 Ω / 100 MHz filter) on the supply side — without the ferrite the CE mark is not valid for the installation, so the panel-side wiring has to follow the datasheet's EMC recipe, not just any shielded cable.
