The Delta DVP-FPMC is a CANopen master module for the DVP-PM series PLC family. It handles PDO, SDO, SYNC, Emergency, and NMT message types over the CAN bus at selectable serial baudrates of 500k or 1M bps. The Ethernet port runs at 10/100M bps using IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u standards. This is the module you spec into a DVP-PM rack when you need coordinated motion control over a CANopen network — think multi-axis servo lines or conveyor sections that must stay in sync.
The 10/100M bps Ethernet baudrate means this module is not limited to the old 10M half-duplex ceiling — it auto-negotiates to 100M full-duplex on a modern switch, so it keeps up with the HMI and SCADA traffic without becoming the bottleneck. The removable 5.08mm connector is the standard pitch for DIN-rail terminal blocks; you can pre-wire the harness and plug it in during commissioning, which saves panel-builder time on a multi-drop CAN bus. Power consumption sits at 1.7 W — low enough that the backplane supply on a DVP-PM rack handles it without derating. Insulation voltage is rated 500 V, which is the standard isolation barrier for industrial control circuits; it keeps transient noise from the CAN bus off the PLC backplane. The CAN interface supports a transmission distance of 100 m at the higher baudrates. That covers most single-cell layouts; for longer runs you drop the baudrate or add a repeater.
