What this module does
The DVP02LC-SL is a dedicated load cell signal-conditioning module for Delta's DVP series PLCs. It accepts strain-gauge bridge inputs across a 0 ~ 6mV/V range and resolves them at 20-bit — that is the internal conversion resolution, not an effective-number-of-bits figure, so the usable precision depends on the sensor's excitation voltage and the electrical noise floor in the cabinet.
The measurable range of 0 ~ 6mV/V matches the full-scale output of most common industrial load cells at 5 V or 10 V excitation. If your cell outputs 2 mV/V at rated load, you will use roughly the lower third of the ADC range — still within the module's linear region, but you lose some resolution compared to a cell that fills the full span.
