The FESTO CP-E16-M8 is a 16-channel digital input module for the CPX terminal family, rated IP65/IP67 so it lives directly on the machine frame — no enclosure needed, just a gland plate and a 24 VDC supply.
Sixteen sinking/sourcing inputs, 24 VDC nominal, with LED per-channel status visible through the clear cover. The operating range is -5 to 50 °C, which covers most factory-floor ambient conditions but not a refrigerated area or a foundry — watch the low end if the line sits in an unheated warehouse. IP65/IP67 means the housing and M8 connectors handle washdown spray and temporary immersion — fine for food-and-bev zones or wet machining cells. The PA-reinforced housing shrugs off mild chemical mist.
