Active production — no end-of-life concern
The SIE-M18x1-PS-S-LED: That means the BOM line stays stable for new builds and MRO spares alike.
What the 10…30 V DC rating means on the line
The operating voltage range of 10…30 V DC covers standard 24 VDC control systems with headroom for brownout conditions. The sensor powers up and switches reliably down to 10 V — useful on long cable runs where voltage drop eats into the rail. At 24 V nominal it draws minimal loop current; the plug connector means a swap takes seconds without stripping wires — a field-service consideration when a line is down and the old sensor has a cable break.
M18 barrel — drops into the standard footprint
The M18 diameter is the most common threaded-barrel size for inductive proxes in European machine builds. If the existing bracket or tapped hole is M18 × 1.0, this sensor screws straight in — no adapter, no panel rework. The plug connector vs a cable exit means the sensor body rotates freely during installation without twisting a fixed cable. For a retrofit into a line originally spec'd with the cabled SIE-M18S-PS-K=LED, the mounting hole is the same — just swap the mating cordset.
