The SOOE-TB-L-PNLK-T is a through-beam optical sensor from the SOOE series, using a red laser emitter to achieve a sensing distance of 20 m. It operates on a 10-30 VDC supply and delivers a push-pull output rated for 100 mA, with selectable Light-ON or Dark-ON switching. The housing measures 11 mm wide by 44.5 mm tall by 21.5 mm deep, terminating in an M8 plug connector.
The 11 mm width and M8 plug make this a compact, quick-swap sensor for tight spaces — think conveyor lanes, packaging machine infeed, or part-present detection on a pick-and-place cell. The through-beam design means you mount emitter and receiver opposite each other; the 20 m range covers long conveyor runs or large gantry spans. IP65/IP67/IP69K rating handles washdown environments, so it can sit on a food-processing line or in a machining center coolant zone.
The 20 m sensing distance is the headline number — that's the maximum range between emitter and receiver under clean conditions. The red laser (visible red, Class 2 typically) gives a small, well-defined spot for precise alignment, but the through-beam pair must be optically aligned; any obstruction or misalignment drops the effective range. The push-pull output (also called complementary) can source or sink current, so it mates with most PLC input cards — no pull-up resistor needed. The 100 mA load current covers direct drive of a small relay or indicator, but for larger loads you'd interpose an interface relay.
