Position feedback for DRVS size 16 rotary actuators
The Festo SRBS-Q12-16-E270-EP-1-S-M8 is an angular Hall effect position sensor designed specifically for the DRVS size 16 rotary drive family. It provides 270° of electrical angle feedback, which means it can report the full swivel range of a quarter-turn rotary actuator for end-of-travel or intermediate position confirmation. The sensor outputs a 50 mA signal at 10–30 VDC, compatible with standard PLC digital inputs or analog input modules expecting a rationmetric Hall voltage.
Sealed for washdown and outdoor duty
Rated IP65 and IP68, the sensor body and the M8 plug connection withstand direct hose spray and continuous immersion. This makes the SRBS-Q12-16-E270-EP-1-S-M8 suitable for food-and-beverage washdown zones, outdoor valve actuation, or any environment where moisture ingress would kill an unsealed sensor. The 300 mm flying lead with an M8 male connector terminates at the sensor; the mating cable (not included) should be specified with an IP67-rated M8 socket to maintain the seal path.
Mounting is screw-type, which means the sensor attaches directly to the DRVS drive housing using the provided threaded holes — no bracket or adapter required. The M8 3-pin plug carries the supply and output; pinout follows the Festo standard for SRBS series sensors. Operating temperature spans -20 °C to +70 °C, covering most industrial cabinet and machine environments but not extended-range freezer or oven applications.
