The Festo SRBS-Q12-32-E270-EP-1-S-M8 is an angular Hall effect position sensor built for the DRVS size 32 rotary drive family. It reports shaft position over a 270° electrical angle, translating rotation into a 50 mA output signal for a controller or drive module. Runs on 10–30 VDC supply, so it drops into standard 24 VDC control circuits without a separate regulator. Output current tops at 50 mA — plenty for a PLC digital input or a drive feedback card, but not enough to drive a relay coil directly. Screw mounting keeps installation simple: two screws into the drive housing, no brackets needed. The 300 mm pigtail ends in an M8 male plug — common on Festo I/O hubs and valve terminals, so wiring is a straight push-and-twist. Rated IP65 and IP68, meaning it handles washdown and temporary submersion. That covers food-processing lines, wash-down zones, and outdoor conveyor sections where moisture is a given. Temperature range –20 °C to +70 °C suits most factory-floor environments, including cold storage and hot press areas.
The only difference between this SRBS-Q12-32-E270-EP-1-S-M8 and the SRBS-Q12-25-E270-EP-1-S-M8 is the drive size they fit: this one mates to a size 32 rotary drive, the other to size 25. All other specs — 270° angle, 300 mm cable, M8 plug, IP65/IP68, 10–30 VDC, 50 mA output — are identical. If your panel was built around the size-25 variant and you're swapping to a size-32 actuator, the sensor itself is a straight swap; the wiring and feedback mapping don't change.
