16-point DC input remote I/O for CC-Link
The AJ65VBTS3-16D is a CC-Link small-type remote I/O station carrying 16 isolated DC inputs in a plus-common configuration. The spring-clamp terminal block (2-piece, trapezoid 3-wire type) is used.
Input electrical limits and timing
Rated input voltage is 24 VDC (ripple ≤5%), with an allowable range of 19.2–26.4 V. Each channel draws about 5 mA at 24 V. The ON threshold is 14 V or 3.5 mA; OFF is 6 V or 1.7 mA. That gives a clean switching window — don’t expect a 10 V trigger. Response time is 1.5 ms or less in both directions. Isolation is via photocoupler; withstand voltage is AC 500 V for 1 minute between external terminals and ground.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Recorded lifecycle stage is mature. The part is not freshly introduced nor marked obsolete — this is the steady-state phase where supply is stable but you won’t find factory-first-run freshness on every unit. When sourcing, examine the date code and lot marking on the side label. The spring clamp terminal block is a common target for re-markers; check the moulded part number against the brand impression. We quote to order against an RFQ — typical lead time runs 1–10 working days from order entry.
Wiring and installation notes
The communication connector and power/IO connectors are sold separately (one-touch connectors for communication and power supply, 2-piece spring clamp for I/O). The unit power supply draws 35 mA or less at 24 VDC with all 16 points ON — budget that into the 24 V loop. Up to 100% simultaneous input points allowed when front-mounted; check the derating curve for other orientations. This is a plus-common type: all 16 inputs share a common return, so wire the sensors accordingly.
