What It Is and Where It Fits
The Mitsubishi FR-A7NC is a plug-in option card that adds CC-Link fieldbus connectivity to a compatible Mitsubishi inverter. Terminal-block connectable, it occupies one station on the CC‑Link network (Ver.1 mode) or selectable station count from double to octuple in Ver.2 mode. Power is drawn from the inverter backplane at 5 VDC, so no external supply is needed. Communication wiring uses CC‑Link dedicated cable (0.3 to 0.75 mm²) and supports up to 42 units on a single network segment.
Integration Notes
The card installs into the inverter’s option slot and is secured via terminal block connections – no ribbon cable or external adapter required. Station address is set via rotary switches on the board. For Ver.2 operation, the station count is configurable between double, quadruple, and octuple occupancy. Cable termination follows standard CC‑Link practice: use the dedicated cable (0.3–0.75 mm²) and keep the bus length within the CC‑Link Ver.1.10 specification. The module communicates as a remote device station.
