What this A800 drive delivers
The Mitsubishi FR-A840-00038-2-60 is an A800 series drive sized for a 0.75 kW induction motor on a 400/415V three-phase supply. The Constant Torque duty classification means it's built for loads that demand full torque from standstill up to the base speed—think conveyors, extruders, or positive-displacement pumps. At 2.5 A rated output, this is a small-frame unit, but the A800 platform supports plug-in fieldbus options (PROFINET, EtherCAT, CC-Link) via option cards when your network demands it.
Commissioning note for integrators
The drive ships with basic parameters set for motor ratings; expect to enter nameplate data during startup. Constant Torque control mode is the default, so for fan or pump loads you'll switch to the variable-torque profile to improve efficiency at reduced speed—but that's a parameter change, not a hardware limitation. The onboard EMC filter is standard for most European installations; if you're feeding from an ungrounded IT supply, deactivate the filter via the screw terminal bridging bar to avoid leakage current trips.
