The FR-D740-120SC-EC: Rated 5.5 kW output at 12 A continuous, 380-400 V three-phase input — this is a 400 V-class drive sized for a 7.5 HP induction motor on a pump, fan, or conveyor duty cycle. Output frequency spans 0 to 400 Hz, so it handles both standard 50/60 Hz motors and high-speed spindles or centrifuge loads without an external step-up transformer. Carrier frequency is adjustable from 2 kHz to 14.5 kHz — raising it quiets motor whine but derates the continuous current; the default 4 kHz is a practical balance for most panel installations.
Panel fit and fieldbus interface
Panel-mount footprint: 220 mm wide, 150 mm tall, 155 mm deep — fits a standard 400 mm deep enclosure with clearance for the top cable entry and bottom fan exhaust. Built-in MODBUS RTU over RS485 — no option card needed for PLC communication; the screw-terminal block handles the fieldbus wiring directly. I/O complement: 5 digital inputs at 24 VDC, one relay change-over output rated 250 VAC, one open-collector digital output, and one analogue output 0-10 VDC — enough for basic speed reference and run/stop control without an expansion module.
IP20 protection rating means it is intended for clean, dry panel environments — not washdown or outdoor installation without a separate enclosure.
