The FX2N-1PG is a pulse generator unit for the Mitsubishi FX2N PLC series, engineered for single-axis positioning control. It delivers pulse output from 10 Hz to 100 kHz, selectable as forward/reverse (FP/RP) or pulse/direction (PLS/DIR) formats via an open collector transistor output rated at 5 to 24 VDC, 20 mA or less. Each unit occupies 8 input or output points on the base PLC, and up to 8 units can be controlled from one CPU for multi-axis systems.
Integration Notes
Mounts directly on the FX2N PLC backplane. Wiring the pulse output to a stepper or servo drive requires matching the open collector rating (5-24 VDC, 20 mA) and selecting the correct pulse format via the unit's programming. Command speed covers the majority of stepper applications up to 100 kHz; for higher frequencies a different positioning module would be needed.
