Temperature adjustment block for FX2N racks
The FX2N-2LC is a dedicated temperature adjustment block that snaps onto a Mitsubishi FX2N PLC rack, adding two loops of PID temperature control without consuming the CPU's main scan cycle. Operation mode is selected via buffer memory: mode 0 is measured value monitor only, mode 1 adds a temperature alarm, and mode 2 adds full PID control — so the same block serves as a monitor-only card or a closed-loop controller depending on the application.
Measurement accuracy and sensor compatibility
Heater current is monitored via an external CT: with a CTL-12 the range is 0.0 to 100.0 A; with a CTL-6 it is 0.0 to 30.0 A — useful for detecting heater burnout in electric furnaces or extruder zones.
Environmental and electrical ratings
Vibration resistance follows IEC 61131-2: 57 to 150 Hz at 9.8 m/s² acceleration, and 10 to 57 Hz at 0.075 mm single amplitude, applied in each of X, Y, Z directions ten times (80 minutes total per axis). Noise immunity is tested to 1,000 Vp-p with 1 μs pulse width and 1 ns rise time, using a 30 to 100 Hz noise simulator. Grounding must be Type D (100 Ω or less) and dedicated — do not share a ground with high-power equipment. Withstand voltage between analog input and ground is AC 500 V for 1 minute; insulation resistance is 5 MΩ or more at DC 500 V.
