What it is and what it does
The FX2N-4AD-TC is a 4-channel analog input module for the Mitsubishi FX2N PLC family, specifically designed for thermocouple inputs. It occupies 8 I/O points on the base unit and draws 40 mA from the 5V DC backplane rail.
System placement
Mounts on the FX2N extension cable and is addressed as a special-function module. The 5V supply must account for the 40 mA draw in your total backplane budget. It consumes 8 I/O points on the main unit's count — plan the remaining digital/analog mix accordingly.
