PLC base unit for the FX3G line
The Mitsubishi FX3G-40MR/ES is a relay output base unit in the FX3G series, running on 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz supply. It draws 37 W and provides a 30 VDC 2 A sensor supply from the base.
What you're getting: relay outputs, AC power
Relay outputs (the MR suffix) handle up to 2 A per point resistive, which is fine for solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps. If you need transistor outputs for high-speed pulse trains or direct drive of small servos, you'd want the MT variant instead. The AC power supply (ES suffix) means you can pull line voltage straight from the panel — no separate 24 VDC power supply needed for the CPU, just the 30 VDC 2 A sensor supply it generates internally. The 40-I/O count breaks down as 24 inputs and 16 outputs in the standard Mitsubishi layout. That's enough for a small machine cell or a conveyor zone with a handful of sensors and actuators. If you need more, the FX3G series accepts expansion modules on the right-side bus.
