Integration constraints

The FX3U-4AD-ADP: The adapter draws 15 mA from the 5 VDC internal PLC supply and requires an external 24 VDC supply (24 V +20%/-15%, 40 mA). Connection to an FX3S PLC requires the FX3S-CNV-ADP converter; for FX3G, the FX3G-CNV-ADP is needed. On FX3U and FX3UC-32MT-LT (-2) units, a function expansion board is mandatory. The adapter occupies zero I/O points on the PLC, so it does not reduce the available digital I/O count. Grounding must be Class D with a resistance of 100 Ω or less, using a dedicated or shared ground. The withstand voltage between all terminals and ground is 500 VAC for 1 minute; insulation resistance is 5 MΩ or more at 500 VDC. The adapter is rated for operation in atmospheres free of corrosive or flammable gases and conductive dust. Altitude must be 2000 m or less; it cannot be used in pressurized environments above atmospheric pressure.
