Controller compatibility and network fit
The FX3U-ENET-ADP is an Ethernet interface block that adds a 100BASE-TX / 10BASE-T port to Mitsubishi FX3-series PLCs. It mounts directly on the basic unit, occupying one communication channel slot. Compatibility is version-specific: FX3U requires firmware V3.10 or later; FX3G and FX3GC need V2.00 or later. FX3S requires the FX3S-CNV-ADP adapter, and FX3G requires the FX3G-CNV-ADP adapter. On the FX3UC-32MT-LT(-2), a function expansion board is mandatory. Data rate is 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps, auto-negotiated, full or half duplex. Maximum segment length is 100 m per the 100BASE-TX standard. Cascade depth is limited to two stages with a repeater hub on 100BASE-TX, four stages on 10BASE-T.
Power budget and environmental limits
The block draws 30 mA from the 5 VDC rail of the basic unit — no separate power supply needed. This load must be factored into the base PLC's internal power budget. Operating temperature range is 0 to 55 °C, storage -25 to 75 °C, with 5–95% RH non-condensing. Vibration resistance when DIN-rail mounted is 0.035 mm half-amplitude at 10–57 Hz, and 9.8 m/s² acceleration at 57–150 Hz. Withstand voltage between all terminals and ground is 500 VAC for one minute; insulation resistance is 5 MΩ minimum at 500 VDC.
