The FX5-40SSC-S is a simple motion module for the MELSEC iQ-F PLC family, giving you PTP, trajectory (linear/arc), speed, and torque control across up to 4 axes — enough for a compact pick-and-place or rotary indexing station. The core operation cycle runs at 1.777 ms, which keeps the position loop tight enough for servo-based linear and circular interpolation on two axes (linear on up to four). It stores 600 positioning data sets per axis, with trapezoidal or S-curve acceleration/deceleration profiles you set in GX Works3 or directly in sequence logic. Backlash compensation and electronic gearing are built in, so you handle mechanical backlash and axis scaling without add-on blocks. A battery-less flash ROM backs up parameters, positioning data, and block start data — no battery to swap during PM cycles, and no corruption risk on power loss.
