FX5-4A-ADP — what it does in the FX5 stack
The Mitsubishi FX5-4A-ADP is a 2-channel analog output adapter that drops onto the FX5 PLC base to add voltage or current output points for valve, drive speed-reference, and process control loops. It is catalogued as a PLC Expansion Module under the Mitsubishi MELSEC FX5 family, so it ships without a base slot footprint of its own — the adapter hangs on the side of the FX5 CPU or an FX5 expansion block the same way the rest of the FX5 ADP range does. Two output channels is enough for a single closed-loop actuator pair (e.g., valve positioner plus process variable retransmit) without needing a full analog output module when the rest of the I/O count is light.
